CSL Day of Giving is March 19

Alumni & Friends of the CSL Raise Funds for Scholarships for Incoming Students

When alumni write or talk about the VCU Center for Sport Leadership, one word is used often: love.

Love for the program.

Love for their cohort.

Love for the faculty and staff.

Love for the life-changing experiences.

CSL Day of Giving was established in 2017 to generate scholarship funds for incoming students. To date,  it has raised more than $150,000 and benefited dozens of young sports professionals. This financial support has allowed students to focus on their love of sports and their mission to make it their career.

Making a gift is a profound statement of leadership, gratitude and empowerment. And yes, love.

We hope you will support this year's Day of Giving.

Last year, we set records for giving.  Alumni & friends of the program made 315 gifts, totaling more than $32 thousand dollars, both records. By hitting our goal of 300 gifts, we unlocked a challenge gift of $10,000, the largest single gift in program history.

"We are beyond grateful to our alumni and friends for their generosity and support of our program. We always say CSL is about the people. That was on display during our Day of Giving. People helping people. It's what truly makes our program special, " said Carrie, LeCrom, Executive Director.

The Class of 2017 won the 2024 Class Challenge, which saw every graduating class represented with at least one gift.
